This page is one of my favorites for getting acquainted with mindfulness practice. It includes audio guides for a 5-minute breath meditation and a 3-minute body scan at the bottom of the page. These are the practices I recommend to beginners.

UCLA's Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) provides studio-recorded audio meditation guides, as well as a weekly podcast on mindfulness. If you live in L.A., you can also go to their weekly (free) drop-in guided meditation at the Hammer Museum (Thursdays at 12:30pm).
